It’s not everyday that we get to film a wedding that ends with a spectacular surprise fireworks show like at Joline & Mike’s wedding. Mike and Joline’s wedding was a traditional Egyptian Coptic Ceremony followed by a posh reception at the Oasis Conference Center in West Edmonton. Mike is an engineer who works worldwide and is hilarious to spend time with, and Joline is one of those rare human beings who can run on little or no sleep for days and still make everyone around her smile. They had an amazing wedding and they are an amazing couple. We hope you enjoy a snapshot of their wedding day.

Stacey + James Highlights » Banff Wedding Video
Stacey and James are one of the couples that we had the time to really get to know before filming their big day. We had the privilege of not only shooting their wedding but also their Love Story (if you’re wondering what a Love Story is, check out our FAQ section). Most of our couples choose to play their Love Story after dinner as part of the evening’s entertainment, but Stacey and James decided to play it right before the made their entrance. It was a big hit! We overheard people saying “that was the coolest introduction I’ve ever seen” and “I’ve never seen anything like that before!”. We’ve been filming quite a few Love Stories this year and we’ll be posting one soon for you to have a look at.
Stacey and James got married in Banff at the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. This castle in the Rockies has always been one of our favourite places to shoot. You never have to go very far to find a breath-taking view or amazing architecture. The building is so big — we got lost for a good 20 minutes before we were able to find where Stacey and her Bridesmaids were getting ready. Stacey & James are two very kind and generous people and you can see it when you watch their story unfold.
Viva Las Vegas…
Ryan and I have been on the road almost every weekend for the last 5 weeks. I don’t think I’ve spent a Saturday at home in 5 weeks. Unfortunately, all this traveling has limited our time to blog. Well, let’s get back on track.
This weekend was spent far away from home in Fabulous Las Vegas. 40 degree heat, beautiful sunshine, and of course a wedding. Stacey & Ian’s wedding at the Wynn Las Vegas was our first ever Fusion Shoot (photography and cinematography). Their wedding was different than the average Vegas wedding, as it wasn’t done in a 24hr chapel and the officiant wasn’t dressed like Elvis. Rather, they held a beautiful ceremony in an incredible suite overlooking the lights of the Las Vegas Strip and invited friends and family to witness the event.
As a side note, I would like to warn our readers of the Wynn Buffet. I am no stranger to buffets. I pace myself, and I choose food strategically. This night was an exception. After skipping breakfast, and lunch (busy schedule!), I was particularly famished. After devouring my first few plates, I went to make my final assault on the dessert section, but felt a snap in the area of my waist. My belt, after a long struggle with rising pressure, finally gave way and literally snapped. The buckle flew off and luckily no one was injured. Lesson learned: Someone needs to invent pleated sweatpants.
Below are a few of the images we captured during the day. Stay tuned for the video sometime soon!

Paula + Adrian’s SDE | Edmonton Wedding Video
St. Joseph’s Basilica is an absolutely gorgeous church. If you arrive before all of the decorations, flowers, and people do (as we usually do), you can experience the church in a stillness that always leaves me feeling peaceful. It gave me a moment to think about how many couples began their journey together on that altar.
This week at the studio, I’m holding down the fort as Ryan is out in Nevada doing some scouting work for an upcoming shoot, so I have the pleasure of being the designated blogger! We have a lot of traveling coming up over the next little while, but we’re going to try and keep up the blogging no matter where we are!
We had a busy weekend with back-to-back weddings in Edmonton and Banff. Two weddings in a row is quite the adventure, but pulling off a same-day edit for Paula & Adrian was no small feat. Paula & Adrian (and their big families) were a lot of fun and shooting their beautiful ceremony at St. Joseph’s was an honour.

Sandra + Hadi | Edmonton Wedding Videography
A couple of weeks ago we filmed the wedding of Sandra + Hadi, what an incredible day it was. Sandra and Hadi had an amazing ceremony that was filled with love, laughter and dance (lots of dancing)!!! The day was topped off with a fabulous reception! Just like the ceremony, the reception was filled with a lot of dancing and smiles!
We have to give a shout out to our good friend Renée Chan from getwed Event Designs. She did an incredible job keeping things on task!
